

An order delivery for the Bainbridge Island Museum Store gave me the perfect excuse to spend an extra hour at nearby Bloedel Reserve before catching the ferry home. The sky was its usual Pacific Northwest gray, but the ginkgo trees glowed as if they had captured their own sunshine. The trees have all sorts of symbolic meanings, but folklore aside, who wouldn’t stop to pick up this leaf?! Its shape and color is perfection.
